- 1 bunch asparagus
- 1 Tbsp pastured butter or bacon grease
- Dash unrefined sea salt
- Dash pepper
- Wash the asparagus.
- Hold each spear between your two hands and bend until it breaks in its natural spot–between tough bottom and tender top.
- Melt the butter in a saute pan over medium heat.
- Add the asparagus and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, for about five minutes or until just tender.
