Sprouted Wheat Pumpkin Spice Waffles

Ingredients
  • 2 cups sprouted wheat flour
  • 1 Tbsp aluminum-free baking powder
  • 1 tsp unrefined sea salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp allspice
  • ⅛ tsp ground ginger
  • ⅛ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 pastured eggs
  • ½ cup applesauce
  • ½ cup pastured butter
  • 3 Tbsp real maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
  1. Preheat your waffle iron.
  2. Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and spices in a large bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the milk, pumpkin puree, eggs, and applesauce.
  4. Pour the milk mixture into the dry ingredients and stir briefly.
  5. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
  6. Combine the butter, maple syrup, and vanilla together.
  7. Pour the butter mixture into the other ingredients and mix until well combined.
  8. Scoop batter onto waffle iron and cook waffles.
  9. Serve immediately with pastured butter and real maple syrup.
