Sprouted Whole Wheat Waffles

Ingredients
  • 2 cups sprouted wheat flour
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp unrefined sea salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup applesauce
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 3 Tbsp real maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
  1. Preheat your waffle iron.
  2. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the milk, eggs, and applesauce.
  4. Pour the milk mixture into the dry ingredients and stir briefly.
  5. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
  6. Combine the butter, maple syrup, and vanilla together.
  7. Pour the butter mixture into the other ingredients and mix until combined.
  8. Scoop batter onto waffle iron and cook waffles.
  9. Serve immediately topped with butter and real maple syrup.
